Off the top of my head it seems to me, however, that anything written along these lines back in those days could not help but be regarded on some level as the equivalent of today’s femdom erotica. To even put the notion of women’s superiority into people’s heads back then must have been regarded as a titillating notion. I would not be surprised if people masturbated after or while reading these scholarly tracts.
