This morning I was thinking about women who object to “domme,” preferring “dom.” (I’ve always felt a woman calling herself Master very sexy.)

Domme vs dom isn’t something I have a feeling about myself. This a.m. my mind harked back to when the bank my mother worked for (Trust Company) hired female guards. They called them guardettes.
So it could be much worse than domme.
It could be Dommette!

In John Willie’s Bizarre I read the word “slaverette” , which I guess he must have invented. I think the “-ette” was previously added like “trix” is these days .
The word sounds too much like usherette for my liking and rather condescending perhaps.
I remember that. It made me think of the loathsome “subbie.”
Yes you are right it could be worse. Dommette is really awful.
