Bores of the Blogosphere

They aren’t as abundant as they once were. But there is a species of writer who likes to comment on Femdom themed blogs whose remarks make you wonder if he has ever known the love of a woman much less been in a D/s relationship.

He has two kinds of advice.

Women he admonishes to be meaner and tougher. To make their boyfriends, lovers and husbands more miserable ‘for their own good.’

Men he sternly advises to be ever more servile, to wallow and grovel. Even when the guy has made it clear that his spouse doesn’t want that.

A few of these pose as women. Their tone and vocabulary – probably acquired from porn sites – is so consistent they are easily spotted.

They have no value to contribute. They are just alone in the dark, wanking and meddling with the lives of others.

Then there’s another type: those who tend to overanalyze the topic. I am afraid I fall into this category myself.

People really interest me. As a people, I interest me. I want to know why the whole topic is of interest to me.

Then there is bragging about the relationship I have with Mrs. Mule. I hope to think that is serves as one of many patterns that can be used by people to piece together relationships of their own. Take what works for you and leave the rest behind.

Oh I do recognise the type. Both from comments on my own blog, as on the forum I moderate. Off to la-la land these guys are. No reality check ever written out will be cashed by them

True, so true, alas. But now consider my case. I am a man with submissive tendencies who does not like to be humiliated. I do not regard females as superior to males. I hate cruelty and slavery and despise servility. But I love deferring to a woman who is sweet, strong and strict . To some in the femdom world, this is offensive. Ventilating these ideas has got me kicked off two femdom sites so far. I think that’s flattering, but it is a bit weird.

Hmmm… Sweet, Strong and Strict… doesn’t that have a ring to it?

I wonder why preferring a woman who is Sweet, Strong, and Strict would be regarded as offensive. I like that kind of woman in fantasy and roleplay too. Maybe it’s not wanting to be humiliated or not regarding females as superior that is considered offensive to some in the femdom world.

Well, although I enjoy humiliation roleplay, I definitely do not believe women are superior to men–I consider men and women equal as human beings with strengths and flaws–and I’m sure a lot of submissive men actually feel this way too, despite what they may profess in the passion of the moment at the feet of their mistresses.

This whole notion that females are actually superior to males is a femdom fiction that has been adopted by powerful intellectual, academic, and journalistic factions in recent years, and is now actively used by our media and culture in a sociological and political way to promote and further the causes of women in all aspects of our society. In other words–it is propaganda and to be viewed with a cynical eye.
