It is those social norms that leave some women uncomfortable with showing aggression, being assertive. Popular culture still presents women as people of diminish capacity and some women incorporate the perceived norms into their own behavior and self-image. I do accept myself that way. I am finding often that it is nto the women that struggle wanting to dominate. It is their surrouning society that has a hard time accepting a dominant woman.
