Having been wholly biased in favor of romantic monogamy when I first heard of cuckoldry as a sexual fetish I was repulsed. What an unloving relationship (so it seemed).
Since then I’ve come to understand that for a very, very tiny portion of the population cuckoldry is a fetish that works and does not forbid a happy and romantic marriage.
Still most men online are just lying when they claim their wife cuckolds them. (Always with men with bulging muscles and huge cocks. Nobody says they’ve been cuckolded by a guy who looks like he’s Herb from Accounting.) No kink leads to more sexual fantasy presented as fact.
I wonder if the men with the hopeless cuckold fixation didn’t somehow eroticize fears of being abandoned by their mother when they were very little. There’s no doubt that we do eroticize seemingly surprising acts when very young. And even if this is true for some men that doesn’t mean it applies to all (would be) cuckolds.
Cuckold fantasists are often female supremacists. Probably because their desire violates so many social norms they unconsciously feel compelled to justify it with bad anthropology and nutty social theorizing.
